Started in 1998 by friends Josh Alexander (lead guitar)(Secret Society/Liquid Courage) and Jake Duarte (drums) (Liquid Courage), 43 strives to bring extreme power and catchy pop melodies to the punk/hardcore scene. Once establishing a solid local fanbase in their small town of Paso Robles, CA, they hit the road with 3 song EP "Party Right Now." After three years of hard work, many gigs, and even more fans, Engineer/Producer, "Critter" (A Perfect Circle, Guns&Roses;, Ministry) heard the demo; impressed he attended a show in Pomona, Ca. Blown away by their live performance "The band's presence and energy is undeniable. You definitely had the room's undivided attention." he drafted up a shopping agent's contract.

Ironically, the band gaining interest from some major labels proved too much for some of the members. Not to be stopped by adversity Josh and Jake continued on, recruiting friend/and then sound guy Scott Ziering (rhythm guitar)(Self/White Star), followed by friend/local veteran Johnny Montanio (bass)(Implant / Charlie Christ / No Remorse)

Finally, Jesse Navaro (vocals)(Endothrot/Secret Society) stepped in. From HateBreed like screams to the melodic emotion of Fuguzi & Incubus, Jesse's versatility is remarkable." Combined with Josh's blistering guitar melody's over Jake, Johnny, and Scott's thunderous rhythm section, 43's new sound is a force to be reckoned with. After spending the last 8 month's writing entirely new song's then recording the five track EP "Narrow Logic", 43 is glad to be back on the scene, loading up the van, getting ready for the next show.
