Here are some interesting facts about the band:
-Feathers are Beautiful just put out a new CD titled "The Silence Ends Here and Now."
-Feathers are Beautiful used to be called "Drip."
-Feathers are Beautiful have opened for Hatebreed, Six Feet Under, Glassjaw, Napalm Death, Papa Roach, Sparta & Thursday to name a few.
-According to frontman Jay, the name is kind of a joke compared to their music but it spawned from being original.
-"The Silence Ends Here and Now" was recorded at the Dex Inn (Index Case).

"Don't be fooled by the name, this isn't elevator music! These guys have a hard raw sound much like the Deftones mixed with death metal and melody. Listen to "Unlike You" and see what I mean! These guys are creative and original!"

Feathers Are Beautiful (formerly known as Drip) have been playing the Des Moines scene for a few years now. Each album truly shows the band coming into their own experimenting for the right mixture of metal up your ass and melody. True to being original, they've mastered their own unique sound incorporating saxophones and other musical instruments into one.

Always one to be reckoned with, Feathers Are Beautiful have opened and lit up the stage for many national recording artists. Keep in mind, not a lot of bands tour through Des Moines, IA. Feathers Are Beautiful recently recorded "The Silence Ends Here and Now" and was released December 27th 2002.
